Quality Assurance
CMMI-DEV (Level 3) and AS9100
KinetX Aerospace is committed to continuously improving our capabilities and developing higher levels of process
maturity. We follow the Software Engineering Institute (SEI) Capability Maturity Model Integrated
(CMMI-DEV v1.3) model as well as the AS9100 Aerospace Quality Management System standard.
CMMI is an industry-recognized suite of products (e.g., processes, training,
appraisals, etc.) used to provide a common, integrated vision of improvement for an organization
including:
- Common Terminology
- Consistent Styles
- Uniform construction rules
- Common components
KinetX Aerospace has been certified at Level 3 by the Software Engineering Institute (SEI) for the Capability
Maturity Model Integrated (CMMI-DEV v1.3) program (January, 2011). We will use our existing tools
and currently defined processes as well as our continuous improvement of those processes for performing
work under this contract.
The international AS9100 standard defines additional areas within an aerospace quality management system that must be
addressed when implementing an ISO 9001:2000-based quality system. Typically, these requirements are included
within robust aerospace quality systems. The industry experts who wrote the standard and the representatives who
approved it all agree that these additions are essential to ensure product, process and service safety and quality.
KinetX Aerospace has been certified by Great Western Registrar LLC (accredited by the Aerospace Management Program)
to be in conformance with ISO9001:2008/AS9100 REV. C
in accordance with the requirements of AS9104/1-2012 .
KinetX Aerospace Continuous Improvement Team (CIT) meets on a bi-weekly basis to discuss process and tool
improvements to continue to sustain and improve our ability to provide quality products.
